Master Classes

Inversions & Backbends

In this class we will talk about and understand the fundamental role of the shoulders during inversions and backbends, along with the active relationship with our true core – key in providing necessary stability while getting upside down. Class will explore how to best prepare our shoulders, core and spine for the combined interaction of these elements in practice. We will finish with compensatory poses leaving students feeling a sense of balance and ease during and after Savasana.

Hip Openers & Twists

At the core of a spinal twist lies the ability of the hips to twist as well. The use of our core in our practice is not only about connection and strength, but also about stability and space. Thus, we will awaken the power of twists by learning how to create space and rooting through the hips as we twist. This practice is essential to the awakening of our Kundalini energy, our vital life force potential dormant within our hips, at the base of the spine.

Yoga For The Chakras

This class will combine Asanas (physical postures), Pranayamas (breathing exercises), Bandhas & Mudras (energetic exercises), Drishtis and Mantras (internal exercises) and Dhyana (Meditation). These practices will be skillfully combined to follow the energetic flow of the Chakras, from bottom to top. The goal is to have a body, mind, spirit experience, to elevate our vibration to prepare the vessel of who we are to house more light and a greater creative potential.

Qi Gong

Qigong, Breathing and Meditation

Medical Qigong is an ancient method of maintaining health and promoting longevity as well as preventing and treating disease. In the word “Qigong”, “Qi” is translated to mean “Life Force Energy”. “Gong” means “cultivation” or “acquired skill through practice”. When Life Force Energy (Qi) is properly cultivated in the body we are able to remain in good health, physically, mentally and emotionally. Medical Qigong is one of the oldest branches of Chinese medicine, predating acupuncture by thousands of years.
